DR. KINAL B. PATEL grew up in Kenya around animals from a very young age. She remembers her homestead in Africa having many German Shepards. They served as pets but also were important in protection from intruders whether it be wild animal or unwanted visitor. This time in Kenya was also Kinal’s first experience with horses and riding at a young age. Having grown up around animals she developed a deep love for them at an early age and throughout her childhood as well as her adult life she has always had a pet nearby. Dr. Patel’s family moved to the states when she was 14 years old and settled in a small town near Peoria, IL. After undergrad at Western Illinois, Dr. Patel chose to continue her education by attending Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, MO. She relished the idea of being able to care for and improve lives through holistic medicine and chiropractic provided that avenue. Dr. Patel was re-introduced to horses while in St. Louis during her graduate degree. Her preceptor doctor had horses and re-introduced Kinal with riding. It was then she realized her desire to also treat animals with her chiropractic skills. After establishing a successful practice in Chicago’s northshore suburb of Highland Park, Dr. Patel went back to school for her Animal Chiropractic Degree from Options for Animals in Wellsville, KS. Since graduation, Dr. Patel has launched her animal chiropractic practice, providing care to horses and dogs of all sizes. Dr. Patel’s dream is to own her own horse ranch one day and be surrounded by the things that make her happy, well adjusted animals!
